Configuring a Password

Important!!!

• As with any critical data, use caution with sensitive materials. This password access is only intended to prevent casual users from viewing your records. This does not prevent people with the correct tools &/or know how, from gaining access to your records.

• It is recommended you keep all your sensitive materials/data, in some other secure location as well, for maximum security/retrieval.




1) Select "Configure Password" from the "Scripts" menu.




2) If you haven't set a password yet, leave this field blank, and click "OK". If you already have a password, you'll need to enter it here before being allowed to change it.





3) Next, enter, then re-enter, your desired password.

- OR -

To CLEAR the current password (ie - save without a password), leave both of these fields blank, and click "OK".

 



4) At this prompt, your password has been succesfully saved.

• You will now be prompted to enter your password, each time you open "Serial Number Saver™".
• If you saved no password (left the fields blank), you will NOT be asked to enter a password, when the program opens.
