Features

Audition Sound Files - Split Stereo files are auditioned in Stereo. Recognizes many different Sound File Formats, such as SD2, AIFF, .WAV, MPEG, Quicktime, etc.. ***
Catalog - Scan Online (Pro Tools ready), Server, and CD-ROM (Removable Permanent Backup) disks for Sound Files, and Instrument Banks.
Find - Locate files by Sound File Name, Description, Creator/Designer, Show, Reel, Disk, Folder, File Type, Sample Rate, etc..
Blazingly fast, since the database is scanned, not your drives, when a Find is performed.  Also, the ability to search so many types of data at once, yields more complete results. Searches can also include entire path (including folder names). Example of speed: In a database of 113,659 records, a search for "Explo", found 2514 records in less than half a second. (On a PowerMac 9500, 604e, 225Mhz) You can limit your search to just find files on auditionable drives (Online & Server drives).  This prevents showing records that are offline.
Long Descriptions - Up to 64,000 characters long, for each record. (1 record per sound file)
Import - Import files into Pro Tools®.
Smart Import - Knows whether a file is currently on a Pro Tools ready drive, and imports rather than copies (Can be set to force a copy first)
Name New Files - Name new files in Pro Tools®, SampleCell, PEAK, Unity DS-1, etc., with a handy naming scheme to help avoid duplicate file names, and manage your region bin better.
Copy Files - Copy files (at the Finder level), to other locations.
Reveal in Finder - Selects and then shows your file in its Finder window. Even if you're not using Pro Tools or one of the other supported applications, you can likely drag & drop the file onto another program's icon to open it.
Samplers - Open files in another user defined application, such as a sampler.

Share Data (Import/Export) - Export your data for someone else to import into their SoundLog Pro™ database, and/or Import theirs.
Make New Records - Updates effortlessly to keep up with new files, as you make them!
History Tracking - Keep track of what file a new file came from, in case you need to backtrack.
Small Data Footprint - Keeps only 1 record per Sound File name, even in the event of Split Stereo files.  Allows more files to be seen on screen at once.
Sound File Data - Displays vital information on the Sound File, like File Type, Sample Rate, Bit Rate, Length, size, Loops (Y/N), and Interleave/Split Stereo/Mono.
Several Databases in One - Fields for DAT or Audio CD name, with Track & Index all in the same record. Allows logging of Audio DAT/CD, updateable as the audio becomes Sound File data.
Pro Tools 5 & 6 Ready - Has been tested & used on many configurations, ranging from an iMac running Pro Tools 3.4, to a G4 running Pro Tools 5.1.1.
High Capacity - Number of records limited only by available disk space, or 2 Gigabytes, whichever is smaller.
