SoundLog Pro 2 - Setting up PEAK

SoundLog Pro 2 > Setting up PEAK

One of the cool new features in SLP2, is the ability to open/audition files in PEAK, right from the main Browser or Compact pages.

* PEAK is not included with SLP2.

* Note: Be careful! When auditioning files with PEAK, saving changes/edits will overwrite your original files!
TIP - If I want to do an edit or process in PEAK, I select the portion of the file I want to edit, then do a create New Document From Selection, then perform the edit on the new file. This way I can avoid overwriting the original file.

Setup:

  1. Make sure you have a copy of PEAK on your startup drive, otherwise you may get errors saying something to the effect "Application Unknown" could not be found. Copy the version of PEAK you'd like to use to your startup drive, and try again. If you have PEAK on your startup drive, and you still get the error, try restarting your Mac.

  2. In SLP2, go to the preferences page. Under the General tab, select PEAK as the primary auditioning application. (Cool feature - if PEAK is not your primary auditioning application, holding the <Command> key while auditioning will toggle to use PEAK for that audition, and vice versa.)

  3. To hear split stereo files in Stereo, in PEAK preferences, turn on Auto-Import Dual Mono. For faster performance, turn off Auto-Import Dual Mono.
